Journal Entry # 32

Thanksgiving is coming up soon. What three things are you most thankful for?

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is not only one of the most important holidays for America and Canada but also full of meaning for people. On this day, they celebrate together, thanks for the God, and their harvest. Since it is my first time in America to learn about English and culture, I also would like to thankful three things in my life. First of all, I want to thank for my parents. They are the persons treating me best in the world. For instance, I used to have bad manner, but they always forgive me. They work very hard and thrifty, but they try to give me and my brothers the best things they can offer. Second, I would like to thank for my husband George. He is a very kind and patient person. For example, he shopped with me for over 6 hours for my clothes many times without any complaint. Maybe he is not a perfect marriage partner, but he learns to be a perfect marriage partner. At last, I would like to thank for three of my best friends in Taiwan. We help each other and grow up together. For instance, even I study in America, they still care about me. We cherish our friendship very much. In conclusion, thanksgiving is a major holiday in America. People thanks to God, and families have reunions together. We should cherish everything in our lives and never take it for granted.
